Great news for the movie “Let’s Eat!”! Chapman To once again made it to the Osaka Asian Film Festival (OAFF)!
Lunar New Year Film – “Let’s Eat!” – written and directed by and starring To himself, is confirmed to be taking part in OAFF 2016, where he will compete with 12 other movies from different countries for the great honor. Also worth mentioning is that Charlene Choi, the lead actress from the movie, “Sara” – which is also produced by To – has won the Special Mention Award in 2015.
To was glad to hear the news earlier today. “This is definitely good news. My first directing effort got recognized by the juries. I’m really glad about it. Thanks to the juries for the support,”To was quoted saying. The OAFF is one of Asia’s most significant film festival. This year will be the award’s 11th year, and will be held on the 4th-13th March. Other contenders include “The Missing Piece” starring Ella Chen from S.H.E, “3688” by Singaporean director Royston Tan, and Thailand’s “Heart Attack”.
“Let’s Eat!” is Malaysia’s only entry at the festival.
