Superstar Endrum 16 will crown its winner this November 19

After 10 weeks of rigorous musical battle in various rounds, six finalists are now gearing up to battle it out on the Superstar Endrum 16 grand finale stage.

Alex Rao, 26 (Selangor), Kumaresh, 22 (Kuala Lumpur), Naaraayini, 24 (Penang), Pomathipriya, 20 (Perak), Sindhihassne, 22 (Selangor) and Rubenraj, 23 (Perak) beat 10 other contestants to reach the final.

Dr. Rajamani Chellamuthu, Senior Vice President, Content Management Group, Astro said, “In line with our aspiration to develop local talents, we initiated competitions to recognise and provide opportunity to youth. Superstar is not just a singing competition, but it is a springboard for aspiring artists to showcase their talents. We would like to thank everyone for your support throughout this amazing 16-years”.

The night will open with an electrifying performance by Malaysian artists, Darkey, Vicnaes Jay, Aneith Zes (Queen), Hariharan, Hasmitha and Daraneswary; Akademi Fantasia (AF) alumni Akim and Reshma; Attam 100 Vagai Magen and Kashika from Astro’s Ceria Popstar. They will perform the remix version of the classical hit Endrum 16 composed by local music composer, Jay.

Hosted by Kumaresh and Revathy, the six finalists will go through three rounds of elimination. Two will be eliminated in each round and the winner will be crowned in the final round.

The grand prize is RM20,000 and a Honda HRV, while the others will receive cash prizes of RM15,000, RM10,000, RM6,000 and RM5,000 according to their respective placement.

The Superstar Endrum 16 finals will held on November 19 at 8pm in Dewan Raja Muda Musa, Shah Alam and will be broadcast live on Astro Vinmeen (CH231), Astro Vaanavil (CH201) and Astro on the Go (AOTG).

Superstar Endrum 16 is sponsored by BOH (main sponsor) and Glow Skin White (co-sponsor) with THR Raaga being the official radio station.
