A BROtimate Escapade in Hong Kong
SonaOne reveals his authentic Hong Kong experience with his “bros” on The Ultimate BROcation
Multi-talented, award winning Malaysia hip hop artist, SonaOne recently joined three other Asian male celebrities for an authentic Hong Kong experience tailor-made for “bros” for KIX HD’s new reality TV series – The Ultimate BROcation. The band of “bros” experienced Hong Kong as the ultimate guy’s playground and enjoyed an exhilarating escapade in one of the most vibrant cities in the world. Joining SonaOne are the Philippines’ R&B sensation Billy Crawford; Thailand’s DJ and TV host P.K. (Piyawat Kempetch); and Singaporean maverick chef Bjorn Shen.
“I am so glad to have the opportunity to experience Hong Kong in the most authentic way from seeing, feeling, to tasting the best that Hong Kong has to offer,” said SonaOne. “One of the most unforgettable experiences was when we set out along the sparkling waters of Deep Water Bay for a fly boarding excursion where we steer, elevate, land and walk on water on a fly board; it was a thrilling experience unlike any other,” added SonaOne.
Usually known as a shopping haven, SonaOne’s experience in Hong Kong proved that there is so much more to the metropolis than meets the eye. As an outdoorsy person, SonaOne reveals some of the exhilarating activities that visitors can experience in Hong Kong. Not for the faint-hearted, SonaOne showed that drift racing in Tai Po Industrial Estate would be a fun sport for a group of male travelers. Hong Kong’s outdoor excitement does not stop there as SonaOne and his band of “bros” got their share of adrenaline rush through stand up paddling at Deep Water Bay, learning Fighting Stunt Moves at the Martial Arts Center and a game of bubble soccer in Bumperman, Kwun Tong.
Hong Kong’s vast range of exciting and authentic activities makes the city’s tourism offerings fully equipped to cater to different personalities and appetite for adventure. From scrumptious eats to diverse cultural heritage and exhilarating events, there is always something to do for everyone. “The boys and I started off as strangers and we all had different preferences and interests. Hong Kong was an ideal destination for us to get to know one another while we quenched our thirst for our own adventure respectively”, SonaOne adds.
Being a Muslim, SonaOne did not have qualms locating Halal food as they were easily accessible and certain to tantalise taste buds. As no trip to Hong Kong is complete without indulging in some authentic local delicacies, SonaOne had the opportunity to savour some delicious Hong Kong’s Chinese Islamic cuisine at Islam Food in Kowloon. As of today, Hong Kong has more than 50 Halal certified restaurants serving mouth-watering food that are suitable families.
SonaOne’s exciting adventure with the bros on The Ultimate BROcation is set to premier on 14 December 2016 at 9PM, only on KIX HD (Astro Ch. 729).
