THR Raaga has successfully organised Raagavin Anbulla Amma concert in conjunction of Mother’s day on 20th May 2016 which saw more than 1000 people attending the concert.
Content Manager of THR Raaga, Subramaniam Veerasamy said, “I would like to thank all our loyal listeners who have never fail to show their support towards our events throughout the year. We are extremely pleased with the encouraging entries for the ‘Cool Amma’ contest. All they had to do was to send a photograph with their mothers and the 10 most creative photos were selected to participate in this concert.”
In the first round of the challenge, participants (mother and children) were required to perform catwalk, where 5 pairs were been chosen for the next round, the talent round. During this round, the 5 finalist were asked to perform a song or dance. The talent round performances were judged by THR Raaga Content Manager, Subramaniam and Music Executive, Santhy Muthalu based on finalists creativity.
Ashwini was crowned champion and won a gold nose stud and RM1000 worth of shopping voucher, while the 1st and 2nd runner-up walked away with RM500 and RM300 worth of shopping voucher and gold nose stud respectively.
The three-hour show featured performances by THR Raaga announcers Anantha, Uthaya, Raam, Revathy, Suresh, Kavimaran, Jay, Geetha, Ahila and Yashini.
